1½ pounds 2-inch thick sirloin steak

1 yellow or white onion, slivered, or 1 bunch green onions, chopped (tops & bottoms removed)

Directions: Mix together salt, pepper, sauce, brown sugar, and garlic. Place meat into a casserole dish and coat with the marinade, turning meat over in the dish so both sides are covered. Let the dish chill in the refrigerator, covered, for a couple of hours or overnight.

When ready to broil, remove meat from casserole dish, place on a broiler-safe pan, and drizzle with olive oil. Heat until desired doneness, turning steak over once. For the last few minutes of cooking, sprinkle top of steak with the onions. Serve with additional Worcestershire Sauce on the side and a garden salad. (If there are any leftovers, slice the steak into thin strips and serve on top of a mixed salad with your favorite dressing.) Steak may also be cooked on the grill while enjoying a fabulous St. Mary’s County sunset.
